Scott Worsham, Chief of Police

Scott Worsham became Chief of Police in October of 2015. Prior to becoming Chief, Scott Worsham worked as a Mississippi Park Ranger, Holly Springs Police Officer, and Horn Lake Police Officer. He has held supervisory positions among multiple divisions, including S.W.A.T. team leader, commander of traffic and DUI division, narcotics investigation, and instructor of 13 areas of law enforcement. Scott Worsham is a graduate of the 244th Session of the F.B.I. National Academy.


Shane Ellis, Assistant Chief of Police

Shane Ellis, a lifelong Hernando resident and graduate of the F.B.I. National Academy session 265, began his career in law enforcement in 1995 with the Hernando Police Department. During his 23 years, he has held positions within patrol, investigations, and leadership roles within the uniformed patrol division before being appointed as the Assistant Chief of Police.


Charles Lanphere, Captain of Patrol

A graduate of the University of Mississippi, Charles Lanphere brings with him an extensive amount of experience, having worked a large portion of his career in a investigative capacity, including narcotics investigation, criminal investigation, S.W.A.T. operations, as well as uniformed patrol.


Kyle Hodge, Captain of Operations

Kyle Hodge began his law enforcement career in 1998 with the Southaven Police Department. Since then, he has served residents of the county as an Officer, a K9 handler, and a detective. He served on the D.E.A. Task Force as a narcotic agent and possesses a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice.
