October 7, 2025.
7) Consent Agenda
A) Approve S. Witt and T. Harris to attend the Mid Winters Fire Chief Conference in Natchez, MS on December 2-3, 2025, and pay for all registration and travel expenses.
B) Approve D Northrip to attend the Confined Space Rescue at the MS State Fire Academy in Pearl MS on November 10-14, 2025, and pay for all registration and travel expenses.
C) Approve T. Cole to attend Driver Operator 1002 at the MS State Fire Academy in Pearl MS on October 20-31, 2025, and pay for all registration and travel expenses.
D) Approval for Zachary Wallace to attend K-9 Handlers Special Nature Train in Pearl, MS. on October 5, 2025-November 21, 2025 and pay for registration, lodging, and all travel expenses.
E) Approval for registration, lodging, and travel for the Mississippi Recreation & Park Association annual conference for Jared Barkley, Dolly Brechin, Michael Carson, and Brandon Williams for the dates March 1st – 5th, 2026 in Biloxi, MS.
F) Approval for Cassi Perry to attend MMCCA Board Leadership on Nov 6-7, 2025 in Oxford, MS. All expenses are paid by MMCCA.
G) Approval for Noah’s Gift 5K run, walk, skate race on October 24, 2026. The Noah's Gift Race Route will start and end at Maddox Foundation in Hernando (near the Square; Commerce Street and Highway 51 Intersection). After starting on Church Street, the race will travel briefly on Commerce Street and turn right on Highway 51. The race will then turn right onto South Parkway, and right again on Mt. Pleasant. The race will then travel on Robinson Road and turn left on East Street and end at Maddox Foundation.
H) Hernando Water Tower 10K and Half Marathon Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 8:00 AM. Close Panola Street and use same race route as year’s past.
I) Approval to surplus the old swing set structure and accompanying equipment from the Church Park playground.

10) Approval to accept the $300.00 Speakers Grant from Mississippi Humanities Council for Dickens of a Christmas with a 50% cash or in-kind match from the city.
11) Presentation of Community Service Award- James Ratliff
12) PL-1933 New Age Logistics Phase 2 – Request for final plat approval for New Age Logistics Phase 2, a 1-Lot Industrial Subdivision, 30.72 acres. The subject property is located on the south side of Kapik Road, west of Highway 51 – Savanah Stoeger, Kimley Horn representing the owner.
13) PL-1939–Delta Landing Commercial Subdivision Phase 7 – Request for Final Plat approval of Delta Landing Commercial Subdivision Phase 7 - 1 lot. 9.52 acres. The subject property is located on the west side of McIngvale Rd and south of Pleasant Hill Road. The property is currently zoned PUD, –Nick Kruenen, Civil Link, representing the owner.
14) PL-1940 –Delta Landing Commercial Subdivision Phase 6 – Request for Final Plat approval of Delta Landing Commercial Subdivision Phase 6 - 1 lot, 1.33 acres. The subject property is located on the west side of McIngvale Rd and south of Pleasant Hill Road. The property is currently zoned PUD, –Nick Kruenen, Civil Link, representing the owner.
15) Approval to allow Hernando Fire & EMS to be part of the DeSoto County Career and Technology Center (CTC) Program allowing students to explore different aspects of working in the field of choice including ride a longs and shadowing.
16) Approval of amended Synthetic Drugs ordinance.
