A) Approval of a waiver for a food truck for charity purposes at 2701 Hwy 51, Per Pantrypalooza on April 11th, from 9-1.
B) Authorize B. Early, J. Slay, and C. Smith to attend the MS Association of Professional Fire Safety Educators (MAPFSE) Conference in Biloxi, MS June 24-26, 2026, also authorize to pay registration and travel expenses.
C) Approve T. Peters to attend the Haz-Mat A&O at the MS State Fire Academy in Pearl MS on July 6, 2026, and pay for all registration and travel expenses.
D) Approve J. Ward to attend Large Animal Rescue Course on April 14, 2026, no registration fee (MS Task Force).
E) Approve J. Ward to attend Tracking Refresher Course on May 3, 2026, no registration fee (MS Task Force).
F) Approve J. Ward to attend Management of Lost Person Incident Course on May 31, 2026, no registration fee (MS Task Force).
G) Approval for donation of $1,000 to the Desoto Family Theatre for the purpose of bringing favorable notice and economic opportunities.
H) Request to authorize the City Attorney to call the performance surety bond from Arch Insurance, bond number SU1172120-000, from Focal Point Investments for the commercial buildings in Lee’s Summit 1st Revision Lot 5b, Lots 2 and 3.
I) Approval for Officer Peacock to attend Building Relationships Class at Tupelo Police Department on April 23, 2026 and pay for cost of class and travel, no lodging required.
J) Requesting Board approval to enter into an agreement with the independent contractor below to lead instructional classes for Hernando Parks and Recreation during the summer of 2026.
• Brooks Lott: Youth Track Program
o Registered participants will learn fundamentals of track and running in a fun, supportive, and structured environment. Participants will develop skills while improving speed, agility, and overall fitness. Sessions meet at Milton Kuykendall Park Track.
o 6 weeks (Every Tuesday) / Start Date: May 19/End Date: June 23. 5:30pm – 7:00pm.
o Registration Fee: $60
K) Requesting Board approval of the Cintas Facilities Solutions Agreement renewal, which is on MS State Contract. This is for Parks and Recreation Department maintenance staff uniforms. The agreement is for 5 years.(Agreement attached)
L) Requesting Board approval to host, at no charge, a kite flying special event organized by the Hernando Rotary Club at the Hernando Soccer Complex on Saturday, May 9, 2026.
M) In the event the DeSoto County Courthouse renovation is not complete, the Hernando Farmers Market requests to temporarily move to accommodate the farmers market vendors. This will include the closure of Center Street east of Highway 51 to School Street.
N) Approval to close Center St. from Hernando Baptist Church and around the Courthouse Square for the Children’s 4th of July Bike Parade to be held on July 3, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.
O) Approval to surplus these Motorola Watchguard V300 Body Cameras.

13) Approval of change order for the Curb and Gutter Project with Allterra Construction in the amount of $10,381.33 to meet MDOT Requirements.
14) Approval of change order reduction for the EWP project with W.G Harrell Construction in the amount of ($768.75).
15) Approve 2026 Hernando Paving Project lowest/best bid from Lehman-Roberts for $1,941,150.80.
16) Resolution Authorizing Denise Hardin as Applicant Agent for FEMA -4899-DR-MS.

21) PL-1961–Delta Landing Commercial Subdivision Phase 8 – Request for Final Plat approval of Delta Landing Commercial Subdivision Phase 8 - 1 lot. 2.17 acres. The subject property is located on the west side of McIngvale Rd and south of Pleasant Hill Road. The property is currently zoned PUD, –Nick Kruenen, representing the owner.
22) Requesting Board approval of a total of a $3,000 change order on Renasant Park Phase 2 project to change the color of the artificial turf infield color (outfield to remain natural grass as specified in Construction Documents).The change is from an entirely tan color representing the dirt area of a skinned infield (as in a traditional softball field) to a traditional looking baseball infield with alternating colors of infield grass to mimic mowing lines. CO request document with rendering is attached.
23) Approval to make easement offers from appraisal values submitted for the water line project that will connect the Byhalia water plant to the new Byhalia water tower.
