The City of Hernando and the Optimist Club of Hernando invite residents and visitors to celebrate Independence Day with two family-friendly events happening July 3 and 4, 2025.
On Wednesday, July 3, the Optimist Club of Hernando will host its annual Children’s Bicycle Parade at Hernando Baptist Church, located at 11 East Center Street. The event begins at 7:00 p.m. Children are encouraged to decorate their bicycles in patriotic colors and participate in the parade. This event is free and open to the public.
The celebration continues on Thursday, July 4 with Front Porch Fireworks, Hernando’s annual fireworks show and community celebration at the Civic Center Ballfields on Robertson Gin Road. Gates open at 5:00 p.m., with fireworks beginning at 9:00 p.m.
