Hernando Excel by 5 Touch a Truck
Friday, April 3rd
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m

NEW LOCATION: Longview Point Baptist Church, 1100 McIngvale Rd, Hernando, MS

Families across DeSoto County are invited to enjoy a morning of hands-on fun at the annual Hernando Touch a Truck event on Friday, April 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Longview Point Baptist Church.

This free, family-friendly event gives children of all ages the opportunity to explore a wide variety of vehicles up close, including fire trucks, police vehicles, construction equipment, and more. Kids can climb aboard, honk horns, and meet the people who operate these vehicles every day. Touch a Truck provides a unique, interactive experience that sparks curiosity and excitement while introducing children to the essential roles these vehicles and operators play in the community.

Come hungry! The Foundation for Hernando Parks will be hosting an optional pancake breakfast for a fee to support Hernando Parks!

We’re excited to bring Touch a Truck back again this year and in a new convenient location with more space for fun activities and learning. It’s always a favorite for families and a great way to create a fun, engaging experience for kids while they’re out of school on Good Friday.

The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to come and go at their convenience during event hours.

If your organization is interested in joining, it's not too late. Please contact Gia, gmatheny@cityofhernando.org and Tiffany taustin@cityofhernando.org.
