Our clinics are designed to teach you the fundamentals of pickleball, a fast-paced and exciting racquet sport that can be played by people of all ages and skill levels.

During our classes, you will learn the basic rules and techniques of pickleball, including how to hold and swing a pickleball paddle, how to serve the ball, and how to hit a variety of shots such as forehands, backhands, and volleys.

Our experienced instructor will guide you through the learning process and provide feedback and coaching to help you improve your skills.

Come join us for a 2-mile guided hike on one of the nature trails surrounding Arkabutla Lake, led by the US Army Corps of Engineers, exploring our area's native flora and fauna. Before the hike, Magnolia Wildlife Education, Conservation, and Rehabilitation will lead an onsite bird feeder crafting activity for kids. These feeders will be hung along the path during the hike. Additionally, the Master Gardeners will be present to offer detailed insights into the plant life along the trail. Don't miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in nature, enjoy the outdoors, and deepen your understanding of the local environment.

What to bring:

-Plenty of water for yourself and those in your party.

-Bug Spray

-Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, etc.)

-Comfortable clothes and shoes

-Daypack may be handy

-Snacks

-Rain jacket in case of light rain

Xmas Stocking Project Supplies - $25 to purchase kit (payable to instructor at first class)

General Supplies - These items are needed for all sewing classes!

1. Basic sewing machine (please make sure machine is in good working order BEFORE arriving to first class!)

3. 3-5 universal sewing machine needles (90/14 preferred for this project)

4. Bobbins for machine (please make sure bobbins are actually compatible with your specific machine)

5. Any cleaning/maintenance tools that came with your machine

6. Fabric scissors

9. Quilting clips

10. Seam ripper

11. 45 mm or 60 mm rotary cutter (please have additional blades as needed)

12. Acrylic ruler for use with rotary cutter

13. Marking tool for marking fabric (heat erasable pen, chalk marker, water/air soluble fabric marker, etc)

14. 1/4" sewing machine foot compatible with your machine

15. Open-toed sewing machine foot (may also be referred to as a zig-zag foot, applique foot, embroidery foot)

Learning Goals:

1. Basic machine sewing

3. Use of a rotary cutter to facilitate project completion

4. Use of a fusible product to facilitate patchwork-style sewing

 Toddler Time is an active class for both parent and/or caregiver.  We explore developmental skills such as climbing and inclining, backward movement, and crossing the mid-line.  We also introduce activities to encourage body awareness, cooperation, and personal strength.  Each 45-minute class includes safe play equipment and age-appropriate activities.

Move & Groove is a creative movement class designed for children not yet in kindergarten.  Learn classroom skills; sharing, taking turns, following directions and general citizenship.  We also incorporate motor and developmental skills such as spacial awareness, intentional movement and self-control.  All of this is done with fun choreography and age-appropriate music in a 45-minute class.

This class involves creative movement, body awareness, kinesthetic learning, and physical and emotional development.
